The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has seized the assets of the former President of the Constitutional Court, Bashkim Dedja and former Judge Fatos Lulo. The property was also seized from Shkelzen Selimi, a former member of the High Court.
The decision came from the SPAK, where from the criminal investigation conducted, data emerged that the former judges owned real estate, which did not justify with legal sources, or assets that they hid.
Parts from the statement of SPAK:
The Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime on 7.5.2020 registered the criminal proceeding no. 137 for the criminal offense of “, non-declaration, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons and public servants or any other person who has the legal obligation to declare ”provided by Article 257 / a / 2 of the Criminal Code.
From the criminal investigation, these subjects owned immovable property, which they did not justify with legal sources, or property that they hid.
For this reason, the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, submitted to the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, the relevant requests for sequestration of assets in the possession / ownership of these three entities.
